Nathaniel Lafon

Nathaniel Lafon, Tap & Hip Hop Teacher at Spark of Creation Studio

Nathaniel Lafon

Tap Instructor

Nathaniel has been dancing for over 15 years and has trained in a variety of genres, including tap, musical theatre, hip hop, jazz, and voice. Growing up at Spark of Creation Studio, he was a member of SOC Studio’s Tap, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, and Jazz Competition Teams.

Today, Nathaniel is an instructor for SOC Studio’s Tap Competition Team, a solo choreographer, and a recreational hip hop teacher. He enjoys sharing his experience with the next generation of dancers while helping students build confidence, musicality, and their own individual style.

In addition to dance, Nathaniel is a baseball player and coach, experiences that have shaped his appreciation for teamwork, discipline, and working toward a common goal. He brings that same team-focused approach into the classroom, encouraging his dancers to understand the importance of both their individual contribution and their role within the group.

Nathaniel is also a drummer for the Te Pura band, further reflecting his connection to music, rhythm, and performance. Having grown up at SOC Studio, he values the community that helped shape him as a performer and now enjoys giving back to that same community as an instructor and choreographer.
