Little Sparks Program

Introduce your child to the world of dance with our Little Sparks program at Spark of Creation Studio! These once-a-week recreational classes are the perfect way for young children to explore different dance styles while fostering creativity and developing fine and gross motor skills. Join us and lay the groundwork for a lifetime of learning through dance!

Recreational Program

Whether your dancer is a beginner or has years of experience, our recreational classes offer something for everyone. With classes meeting once a week, dancers have the opportunity to discover new styles each year. If your child has prior dance experience, contact us for personalized class recommendations. Competitive Team Program

Join the SOC Competition team and take your dance skills to the next level! Audition for our Advanced level classes based on age and skill level to become part of this dedicated team. With 3-6 hours of weekly classes, 2-4 competitions a year, and participation in community events and showcases, our Competition Team dancers thrive in a supportive and inspiring environment. YoutH Musical Theater Production Program

Immerse yourself in the world of musical theater with our Production program! Participants play vital roles in bringing youth productions to life, collaborating to create captivating 30-minute or 60-minute shows. From learning ensemble dynamics to performing on local stages with costumes, sets, and lighting, our program offers a fun and educational theater experience. Join us for an unforgettable journey both on and off the stage!

Winter & Summer Camps

Experience the magic of our winter and summer camps at SOC Studio! Keep the excitement alive during our Winter Break camp for kids ages 6-12, featuring engaging activities and a final performance for parents. In the summer, choose from a variety of camp options, including full-show extravaganzas and week-long sessions filled with creativity and fun. What are the registration fees and tuition costs?

A registration fee of $35 is required for all students who register in our August-June Session

45-min class $85/month
55-min class $90/month
85-min class $115/month

Tuition is based on a full 10.5 season (40-week season) and monthly installments are based on the full season tuition. The first payment is due, along with the registration fee, upon registration.

All accounts must have a form of payment on file and monthly auto-pay will be processed on the 1st of each month. There are no refunds on tuition.

A $15.00 late fee will be assessed for all unpaid tuition after the 10th of the month.

What are your hours of operation?

Our studio is open Monday – Friday from 4:00-9:30 pm and Saturday from 9:00am-2:00pm. We are closed
on Sundays.

How do I register for classes?

All registration for our classes, workshops, and productions can be done via our online registration system, Dance Studio Pro (DSP), by clicking HERE.

What ages do you offer classes for?

We offer classes in Musical Theatre, Tap, Theatre Jazz, Jazz Funk, Hula, ‘Ori Tahiti, and Hip Hop for ages 3- 18. Adult classes (ages 18+) are available in Hula, Tahitian, Hip Hop, and ChoreoPOP! Dance Fitness. We also offer private music lessons and vocal lessons for all ages.

Do you offer trial classes for new students?

Yes, we offer a free trial class for all new students. Please contact our Studio Manager, Megan, at [email protected] to schedule a trial class today!

Do you offer recreational and competitive classes?

Yes! We offer both recreational and competitive classes in Musical Theatre, Theatre Jazz, Tap, Hula, ‘Ori Tahiti, and Hip Hop. Dancers must audition to enroll in our competition classes, and auditions for our competitive teams are held in June at the end of each season.

Do you accept students year-round?

How long is the dance season?

Our dance season is 10.5 months, running from August to June. We also offer Summer Camps and Classes in July and August.

Do you offer multiple class discounts or referral incentives?

Yes, we offer discounts for students enrolled in multiple classes. Additionally, we provide a $25 referral credit to all students who refer a friend to SOC Studio. To claim your referral credit, please email [email protected]

What are the class dress codes?

Hair should be pulled back and out of the face. Please see the dress code lists below for specific dance classes:
• Hula and ‘Ori Tahiti: Pa’u Skirt & Pareo (available for purchase at the front desk), t-shirt, shorts, barefoot
• Tiny Tappers: Pink tights, black leotard, black tap shoes, ballet shoes
• Hip Hop: Comfortable clothing, tennis shoes
• Jazz/Musical Theatre: Black pants (leggings for girls, sweats for boys), t-shirt, black jazz shoes
• Tap: Black pants (leggings for girls, sweats for boys), t-shirt, black tap shoes

Can I watch my dancer while in class?

We have a spacious lobby area where families are welcome to observe classes. We also hold observation weeks throughout the season for our classes, allowing parents to watch their student’s progress inside the classroom.

Do you have a class makeup policy?

If a student must miss class due to illness or vacation, they can make up the class within two weeks of their absence. Please check with our Studio Experience Team members for makeup class availability.

What happens if my child no longer wants to attend classes?

If a student must withdraw from classes, they must email our Studio Manager, Megan, at [email protected], and submit a withdrawal form by the 20th of the month for us to process the withdrawal and cancel the tuition autopay on their account for the following month.

Do you have stage performances?

We produce 5 main stage shows a season to allow our students several opportunities to shine on stage at SOC Studio: Winter Mainstage Musical (Jan), Winter Showcase (Jan), Polynesian Showcase (March), Spring Musical (May), Year-End Recital (June). Productions are held at local theaters including The Samuel L. Johnson Theater at Capuchino High School in San Bruno, Skyline College Theatre & The College of San Mateo Theater

Do we have to buy a costume to participate in the recital?
Yes, all students participating in the recital are required to purchase a costume. A non-refundable costume deposit of $40 for recreational classes and $60 for competition classes is due in October to ensure timely costume ordering. If a student registers after October, the costume deposit will be due upon registration.
Our staff will measure all students in classes, and costumes will be fitted in classes once they arrive. Costume information will be sent via email from our Studio Experience Team members, and costume balances are due in February and March.

Do we need to purchase tickets for the performances?

Yes, all family members (Ages 3+) who would like to watch the performances must purchase a ticket for all of our events. Tickets for all performances will be available for purchase approximately one month before each event. You can purchase tickets online at https://dancestudio-pro.com/tickets/socstudio. As a courtesy, all SOC families will receive email reminders when tickets become available for purchase for each event throughout the season.

What additional costs are associated with attending classes at SOC Studio?

Students will have the option to purchase class and individual photos, SOC apparel and merchandise, as well as video recordings of our performances. Additionally, there will be opportunities to attend workshops in various dance styles throughout the season. Participation in these offerings is entirely voluntary and can enhance your overall experience at SOC Studio
