Natalie Reid began her dance training at Westlake School for the Performing Arts. She graduated from the Oakland School of the Arts, where she was honored with the school’s first-ever Award for Academic and Artistic Excellence, created to recognize her achievements. During high school, Natalie performed as an apprentice with the Savage Jazz Dance Company under the artistic direction of Reginald Ray-Savage. She later returned to the company as a Dance Artist, where she was featured in notable repertory pieces.
Natalie studied dance under renowned choreographers Reginald Ray-Savage, Elvia Marta, and Gregory Dawson. She also performed Polynesian dance, receiving awards in soloist and group competition divisions. Natalie has performed contemporary ballet, jazz, and modern dance at various venues throughout the Bay Area.
A passionate educator, Natalie earned her bachelor’s degree from Pomona College and her master’s degree in Human Development and Education from Harvard University. She is committed to fostering supportive learning environments that develop students’ technical skills, artistic expression, and work ethic.
